Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 58.22% in August 2022, a 2.29% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25.33% in August 2022, marking a 19.75% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 8.88% in August 2022, a 34.62% drop from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.93% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry during August 2022 over previous month.
The Boeing posted 180 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 36.36% over the previous month, followed by Elettronica with 60 jobs and a 50% growth. Raytheon Technologies with 41 IT jobs and Thales with 36 jobs, recorded a 34.92% drop and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while NewRocket recorded a 15.38% increase with 15 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 70.5% share in August 2022, a 10.66% increase over July 2022. Australia featured next with a 19.32% share, up 2.78% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 4.96% share, a growth of 26.67% compared with July 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 48.56%, up by 6.9% from July 2022. Junior Level positions with a 46.74% share, registered a decline of 4.28% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.7% share, down 5.26% over July 2022.
