Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 58.99% in June 2022, a 29.87% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 26.46% in June 2022, marking a 9.91% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 5.82% in June 2022, a 50% drop from May 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 30.42% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry during June 2022 over previous month.
The Boeing posted 133 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 41.67% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 68 jobs and a 34.62% drop. Elettronica with 57 IT jobs and Thales with 43 jobs, recorded a 16.18% drop and a 2.27% drop, respectively, while Cubic recorded a 30.77% increase with 17 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 69.05% share in June 2022, a 27.7% decrease over May 2022. Australia featured next with a 14.29% share, down 39.33% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 6.08% share, a growth of 27.78% compared with May 2022.
Mid Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Mid Level jobs held a share of 47.35%, down by 27.53% from May 2022. Junior Level positions with a 45.77% share, registered a decline of 28.51% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.88% share, down 7.14% over May 2022.
