Airbus’s IT hiring activity declines 7.0% in June 2022

Netherlands-based company Airbus IT hiring declined 7.0% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 10.32% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 11.96% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.49% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Airbus IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Airbus, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 37.5% in June 2022, and a 28.81% drop over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 33.04% in June 2022, and registered growth of 23.33%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.82% in June 2022, a 35.29% drop from May 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Airbus

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in June 2022 with an 85.71% share, which marked a 12.73% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 7.14%, registering a 46.67% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 6.25% share and a flat growth over May 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.89% and a month-on-month flat growth.

France commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 37.5% share in June 2022, a 20% growth over May 2022. Germany featured next with a 26.79% share, up 11.11% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 15.18% share, a decline of 26.09% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Airbus IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.54%, down by 14.13% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.21% share, a growth of 4% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.25% share, down 56.25% over May 2022.
