The top five companies accounted for 31% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that General Electric filed the most environmental sustainability patents within the aerospace, defence & security industry in Q3 2023. The company filed 132 environmental sustainability-related patents in the quarter, compared with 114 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Safran with 112 environmental sustainability patent filings, RTX (93 filings), and Rolls-Royce (60 filings) in Q3 2023.
