CBG Systems is pleased to announce that it has secured a contract for the manufacture and supply of Moonraker’s antenna systems for the Italian Naval law programme.

The multi-year procurement programme to renew the Italian naval fleet will see the delivery of six, with an option for an additional four, multirole Pattugliatori PPA combat patrol vessels, one logistic support ship (LSS), one landing helicopter dock (LHD), and two multirole high-speed vessels.

The Italian Naval programme will be delivered by Fincantieri and Selex, a unit of Finmeccanica.

The Commonwealth of Australia has also shortlisted Fincantieri, Navantia and BAE Systems for the delivery of the SEA 5000 project, which is an Australian Naval platform designed to replace its existing Anzac Class frigates.

Moonraker’s antenna systems are currently in operation in several naval defence platforms worldwide, including the Canberra-class Australian landing helicopter dock.

Supplying antenna systems to the Italian Naval law programme is a testament to CBG Systems’ advanced manufacturing capabilities and paves the way for future Australian and international naval projects.
