Bisalloy Steels and ADG Mobility (ADGM) South Africa have signed a cooperation agreement that will see both organisations working together to provide the South African market with high-quality armour steel for both primary consumption and also as a key component of ADGM designed and manufactured armoured vehicle solutions.
Bisalloy Steels is Australian’s only manufacturer of quenched and tempered high-performance steel products including steels specifically designed for critical protection and armour applications.
ADG Mobility Ltd (ADGM) was formed in January 2017 by the founding members, senior management and engineers of LMT to focus only on development and in-country production for international clients.
Its aim is to focus on the design, development and manufacturing of protected mobility solutions, with the emphasis on 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 vehicles with high mobility and extreme levels of landmine, IED (improvised explosive device) and ballistic protection.
“Our senior members have over 32 years’ experience and knowledge of design, development, production and support, in the field of battle-proven 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 military armoured vehicles.
Over the past 17 years, we have successfully completed more than 1,300 projects and spanning over five continents. It, therefore, follows that ADG Mobility’s entrepreneurial culture is fuelled by innovation with quick turnaround times and a professional service,” Dr Stefan Nell, CEO of ADGM said.
It is this entrepreneurial, innovative and professional culture that appealed to Bisalloy as they looked for a partner in the region.
“It became apparent very quickly during our early discussions with ADGM that their company culture aligned well with our own Performance First approach to business,” said Justin Suwart, Business Manager Armour for Bisalloy Steels.
ADGM will not only utilise Bisalloy’s products in its own manufacturing, but will also be acting as a distribution agent for the BISALLOY® steel range in South Africa.
“We see this as a great way for our two companies to team up and service the growing African market, which is a new and developing market for Bisalloy.
“The team at ADGM have a lot of experience in protected land solutions and Bisalloy has the material to support these activities – we look forward to collaborating ADGM in this market,” said Justin.
The MOU was signed on the 5th of February 2018.
