Advanced microwave technologies provider Teledyne Microwave Solutions (TMS) has received a new contract to support the US Navy’s EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft.
Valued at approximately $7.51m, the sole-source contract has been awarded by the navy’s Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Under the deal, the company will be responsible for repairing the Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) used on the ALQ-99 airborne electronic warfare system on the carrier-based EA-18G aircraft.
Work on the firm-fixed-price contract award will be carried out at the company’s 160,000ft² manufacturing facility in Rancho Cordova, California, US.
It is expected to complete the TWT repair project by November 2021.
TMS is a business unit of the Teledyne Defense Electronics Group and its parent company, the US Industrial conglomerate Teledyne Technologies.
