The Indian Navy is preparing to deploy four warships into the Atlantic to participate in war games with French, British, Russian and Germans vessels.

Four warships, INS Beas, INS Delhi, INS Brahmaputra and INS Aditya will undergo a four-month deployment.

The ships will move from the Arabian and Mediterranean seas towards the north Russian port of St Petersburg conducting passage exercises with Gulf countries along the way.

INS Delhi is a guided missile destroyer and Brahmaputra and Beas are guided missile frigates, while Aditya is a fleet refilling tanker and supply ship.

The ships will join the UK Navy 20-25 June and the French Navy from 30 June to 4 July 2009.
