The Chinese Navy is sending three vessels: the Jiankai I Class frigates Maanshan and Wenzhou and the Fuchi Class replenishment ship Qiandao Hu from its East Sea Fleet.
Luhai Class destroyer Shenzhen, the Jiangkai II Class frigate Huangshan and Weishan Hu will be replaced by the three Chinese vessels.
The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force has already deployed the Murasame Class destroyer JS Harusame and the Asagiri Class destroyer JS Amagiri to the region. These two will replace JS Sazanami and JS Samidare on escort duties by the end of the month.
