Under the contract, the company will provide the navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command teams inspecting the Atlantic and Pacific fleets with visual inspection technology along with training and data management software.
The XL G3 VideoProbes system will provide improved inspection capabilities with a host of advanced features which allows the system to quickly reconfigure probe diameter and length during live inspections.
The company says that the software provided to the inspectors will direct them through the process of inspection while simultaneously generating a report.
The navy is planning to deploy the system to inspect steam generation and rotating power as well propulsion components on non-nuclear powered ships across naval bases in the US and overseas.
