The UK Royal Navy has commissioned a new active dipping sonar maintenance rig (AMR) to provide superior fault diagnosis facilities at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose.

The Lockheed Martin-integrated ADS, is derived from the Merlin active dipping sonar (ADS) system, and is one of the key sensors in a complex mission system which include Sonobuoy processing, data link, radar, communications and electronic support measures.
