Under the contract, the company will offer concept studies, technical services, and engineering and design for the next-generation ballistic missile submarines under development for the UK Royal Navy and the US Navy.
The contract is a modification to the previously awarded $78m contract of December 2008. The value of the contract is expected to reach over $600m if all options are exercised and funded.
Work will be carried out by Electric Boat, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.
