Chinese Navy South Sea Fleet deputy chief of staff Colonel Zhang Wendan said the destroyer Guangzhou and supply ship Weishanhu would set sail from the port of Sanya in Hainan province, according to english.cctv.com.
The two ships will be joined by the frigate Chaohu, deployed to the region in December 2009 to complement the fourth batch of ships.
“Equipment aboard the vessels has been updated and personnel have been given intensified anti-piracy training,” Wendan said .
