The US Navy has awarded a contract to CACI International to support the navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command’s (SPAWAR) command and control operations.

Under the $588m contract, the company will help the navy transfer a wide array of legacy command and control applications and support tasks to a more fully integrated service approach.

The integrated service approach enables the navy to benefit from an easier, more efficient method of providing tactical data to all users, regardless of diverse formats and delivery methods.

The five-year contract calls for CACI to enhance the command’s communications and networking systems to enable SPAWAR’s end customer to gain access to mission-critical information more efficiently.

SPAWAR is the navy’s premier command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance command for acquisition and lifecycle management of communications and warfare systems.
