Under the contract, Triton Group member Sub-Atlantic will supply the MoD with the Comanche remotely operated vehicle (ROV), used for multibeam survey and salvage operations.
The Comanche work class electric ROV features powerful control systems, proportional work-class manipulator arms, tooling hydraulic systems, survey interfaces and generous payload capacity.
The surveillance equipment uses a transmission system, making it particularly suited for long-tether excursions and deep live-boating operations.
Additional power sources of the system allow the use of a hydraulic power unit for running tools and work skids and for rig support intervention tasks.
