The Indonesian Defence Force-led CA10, which began on 8 May in Kupang, Indonesia, is a combined patrol boat exercise specially designed to enhance maritime interoperability between the Australian and Indonesian Navies.
Australia has deployed its Armidale Class patrol boats, HMAS Broome and HMAS Pirie, while Indonesia sent its KRI Untung Suropati and KRI Kerapu corvettes for the post-sea phase of the exercise.
During the exercise, the patrol boats participated in a range of exercises in communications, tactical manoeuvres, boarding operations, small boat transfers and damage control.
Exercise Cassowary 2010 is scheduled to be complete on 18 May.
