The Russian Navy has deployed its amphibious assault landing ship RFS Kaliningrad to the Baltic and North seas to carry out military training, according to a Baltic fleet spokesman.

The spokesman said the Kaliningrad would carry out a range of training military tasks, including ship-damage control and air defence training.
“A range of events will be conducted during the visit to strengthen the interoperability between Russian and Belgian naval forces.”
During its voyage, the assault ship will also make a visit to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge in the North Sea, according to Rianovosti.
The Kaliningrad entered service in December 1984, has carried out training missions in the Baltic, North and Mediterranean seas, and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Kaliningrad Class amphibious assault ships can carry up to 500t of cargo, 13 tanks and more than 200 naval infantry.
The warship has participated in the international Baltic Operations naval exercise five times since 2003.
