A team of Russian Navy experts has arrived in South Korea to review the findings of the investigation into the sinking of South Korean warship Cheonan.

The team, comprising submarine and torpedo specialists, will receive detailed results of the multinational investigation, which concluded that North Korea torpedoed the Cheonan warship in March, according to pressandjournal.co.uk.

The navy team will also evaluate the wreckage of Cheonan for clues and inspect the waters near the island of Baekryeong where the warship sank.

The review by the Russian experts is expected to be complete within a week.

On 26 March, the 1,200t Cheonan and its 104 crew sank off the South Korean island of Baekryeong after an explosion, killing 46 sailors.
