The Russian Navy will induct three patrol boats and three submarines into its Black Sea Fleet by the end of 2010, according to Navy Commander Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky.

The patrol boats as part of a new project, along with the submarines, will ensure the security of ships in the Black Sea.
Russia could develop the main bulk of the fleet by 2035 and a fully-operational fleet by 2050, he said.
The country is also intending to modernise the exhausted Soviet-era fleet under a greater modernisation programme of its armed forces.
