The Royal Netherlands Navy has awarded a contract to Analox Military Systems for nine Sub Aspida devices for use on four of its Walrus Class submarines.
The Sub Aspida is a new safety device used in submarines or decompression chambers to provide constant and accurate monitoring of oxygen and carbon dioxide in a robust unit that is easily portable.

Royal Netherlands Navy Lt Leppink tested the Sub Aspida in the control room of a submarine.
“One of its most important advantages is the pressure-correct read out, which remained accurate even during rapid changes in the atmospheric pressure, making it a vital tool to have on board any submarine,” he said.
