Iran has begun producing two types of missile-equipped speedboats, Seraj-1 and Zolfaqar.

Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the Seraj-1 is a rapid-assault vessel that can operate in stormy weather and the Zolfaqar can travel at 82mph, according to Bloomberg.

The speedboats will be equipped with Nasr missiles to strike enemy ships, Vahidi said, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

“Both speedboats will significantly boost the Iranian Navy’s defence capability,” he said.
