Raytheon’s total ship computing environment (TSCE), the integrated mission system for the US Navy’s DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class destroyer, has passed the technology readiness assessment (TRA).

The US Navy conducted the TRA of the system in an end-to-end environment and confirmed a high pass rate for system requirements.

TSCE, a sailor-centric, human-computer interface, is a primary driver for reduction in manning for the DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class destroyer when compared with Arleigh Burke Class destroyers.

TSCE delivers an unprecedented level of modularity and automation, helping the navy to advance its open architecture goals.

Work for the DDG 1000 programme will be carried out at the company’s facility in Massachusetts and other facilities across the US.
