The $576m contract has a three-year performance base period and has not been awarded competitively.
The F/A-18E/F is a Boeing-built Super Hornet with a twin-engine, 4.5-generation carrier-based multirole fighter aircraft equipped with an internal 20mm gun, air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface weapons.
The Boeing EA-18G Growler is an US carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft and is also a specialised version of the F/A-18F Super Hornet.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in Florida and Massachusetts, US, and is expected to be completed by December 2013.
The US Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, is the contracting activity.
