The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a five-year contract to CAE to continue providing training support services for the Royal Navy’s helicopter training systems.

Training support services will be provided for the navy’s Lynx helicopter as well as the Sea King mk6 training systems.

The company will provide post-design services to modernise the Lynx mk8 training devices to reproduce the “as flown” configuration of the operational helicopters.

The Lynx mk8 is an anti-surface and anti-submarine helicopter designed to operate from frigates and destroyers of the navy fleet.

In addition to the contract, CAE will also provide on-site contractor logistics support services including simulator maintenance, preventative maintenance and other support services.
