Lockheed’s underwater vehicles senior program manager, Mike Gifford, said the upgraded EMATT variant will provide the US Navy with programmable acoustics, improved representation of enemy submarines and acoustic command links.
Work under the $5.4m contract will be performed at the company’s facility in Marion, Massachusetts, US.
