The five-year contract includes execution planning, modernisation, maintenance and repair work for the ships to keep them combat ready.
The contract also includes services for DDG 51 Class, LPD 17 Class and amphibious ships in Norfolk, San Diego, Hawaii and Jacksonville, US.
The 567ft-long Ticonderoga Class warships have a full displacement capacity of 9,800t and can cruise at a speed of 32.5kt.
The guided missile cruisers are equipped with the Aegis Combat System, which integrates the ship’s electronic sensors and weapons systems to engage anti-ship missile threats.
The six cruisers are USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), USS San Jacinto (CG 56), USS Normandy (CG 60), USS Monterey (CG 61), USS Anzio (CG 68) and USS Vella Gulf (CG 72).
