Construction of the Fast Attack Missile Craft (FACM) for the Pakistani Navy has begun in Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KSEW), with cooperation from China.

The China Shipbuilding and Offshore International Company has signed a joint venture with Karachi Shipyard for the construction of two missile craft boats.

The missile boat will be equipped with anti-surface missiles, automatic guns and weapons systems, which will help build up the defence capability of the Pakistani Navy.

The navy recently launched its 22P-F Frigate and has also taken delivery of two small tankers cum utility ships from Karachi Shipyard.
