The US Marine Corps has awarded multiple delivery orders to BAE Systems to provide upgrades on deployed RG-33 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles.

Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract totalling more than $56m, the upgrades will include vehicle operation, maintenance training and maintenance of the fielded RG-33 vehicle fleet.

BAE will deliver RG-33 SOCOM A1 and AUV vehicles as well as related equipment and services under a $17.7m contract.

The total order also includes funding of $11.8m to provide Skydex flooring and vehicle emergency escape (VEE) window assemblies for selected RG-33 vehicles.

The scope of the award includes instructor and field service personnel in support of vehicle operation and maintenance training and to support and maintain the fielded RG-33 vehicle fleet involving $14.2m.

Additional funding of $5.8m and $7.1m involves updates to the RG-33 FOV technical data package and universal MRAP maintenance workforce in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
