The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has equipped its high-speed and small vessels with indigenous missiles that are capable of destroying a range of targets, IRGC Naval Forces lieutenant commander Alireza Tangsiri said.

Fars News Agency has reported that details of the type of missiles that were equipped onto the vessels were not disclosed.
Iran had earlier equipped its new Zolfaqar high-speed vessel with Nasr 1 sea-to-sea missiles.

The Nasr 1 is a short-range, coast-to-sea and sea-to-sea missile that is capable of destroying a three-ton vessel from coasts and all other types of vessels.

The Zolfaqar vessel is also capable of conducting operations in different marine conditions.

The nation has reached self-sufficiency by producing all of its required vessels, equipment and missiles.
