The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic in the US has awarded a prime contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide integrated cyber operations support services.
Under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the company will provide the full spectrum of non-inherently governmental services and solutions (equipment and services) associated with the full system life-cycle support.
SAIC will also provide research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of sustainable, secure, survivable, and interoperable command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) services.
SAIC navy and marine corps group senior vice-president Tom Watson said the company maintains a strategic relationship with SSC Atlantic.
"We will continue to support SSC Atlantic’s mission by providing fail-safe cybersecurity to the soldier and best-in-class C5ISR and information technology capabilities to our customer," Watson said.
In addition, the contract covers information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities for the US Navy.
The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options.
SSC Atlantic aims to deliver support solutions that enable information dominance for naval, joint, national and coalition soldiers. They also meet the uninterrupted vigilance, fail-safe cybersecurity, adaptive response and engineering demands by providing secure, integrated and innovative solutions to many naval, joint and national agencies.
The contract is a part of task order placed among 13 contractors and is valued approximately $900m for all awardees, if all options are exercised.
Work under the contract will be performed primarily at Charleston, South Carolina, US.
