The US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) has awarded two indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity, multiple-award pillar contracts to URS.
URS has been selected as one of 15 prime contractors to provide business and force support services, as well as being awarded a contract as one of 13 prime contractors to provide integrated cyber operations services.
Under the terms of the two contracts, URS will compete for task orders to provide programme support and network and cyber security services to the US Navy.
URS Federal Services President Randall Wotring said the company received two prime vehicle contracts and the pillar subcontract awards to further expand the critical services to the navy.
"We look forward to supporting SSC Atlantic as it operates, secures and defends networks and data as part of the troops’ mission," Wotring said.
In addition, the company has also been selected on ten small-business pillar awards and two full and open pillar awards, as a teaming partner.
Pillar contracts aim to support the services provided by awardees with SSC Atlantic’s specific technological functions.
The contracts will support SSC Atlantic’s production, installation and in-service, transport and computing infrastructure, battlespace awareness and decision superiority.
Each contract has a one-year base period, followed by four one-year option periods, and each has a maximum, aggregate value of $899 million to all awardees, if all options are exercised, according to the company.
The US SSC Atlantic intends to rapidly deliver and support solutions that allow information dominance for naval, joint, national and coalition soldiers.
