The US Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) has awarded a $427m, five-year contract to Jacobs Engineering Group to provide systems engineering services for warfighter training and weapons systems.

Additionally, Jacobs will also support NAWCWD’s efforts to research, develop and modernise various training systems.

Boeing Company has received a $33m contract from the US Department of Defense to provide maintenance services for the F/A-18 A-F and EA-18G aircraft operated by the US Navy and seven other countries, through December.

"Jacobs will also support NAWCWD’s efforts to research, develop and modernise various training systems."

The contract also includes engineering and integrated logistics support services and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

MHI/Tecnico JV has been selected by the US Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) to provide planning, execution, maintenance, and upgrades to a San Antonio-class ship, USS Arlington (LPD-24).

The contract is valued at $27.1m and is expected to be completed in February next year.

The US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has awarded a $27.46m contract to Advanced Acoustic Concepts to support associated mission modules of the littoral combat ship (LCS).

The contractual scope will also include procurement, installation, testing and maintenance of the LCS mission software.

The work is expected to be completed by September next year.

ManTech International has been selected by the US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic to provide engineering support services for the US Naval Observatory (USNO).

The $34m task order includes one-year base period and two one-year options.
