Rockwell Collins Inc has secured a deal worth roughly $34.5m to provide a new E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Tactics Trainer to the US Navy in support of the E-2D Hawkeye Integrated Training Systems (HITS) III programme.

DRS Technologies Canada has been awarded a deal by the US Navy to supply an additional four integrated voice communications systems (IVCS) for Aegis cruisers and destroyers.

The IVCS systems will be used to provide reliable tactical communications for ship operators.

The arrangement increases the total number of orders placed by the US Navy for IVCS to 16.
