BAE Systems has won a contract to continue supporting the US Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Webster Outlying Field.

The five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, which was awarded in November last year, is valued at up to $154m.

Under this contract, BAE Systems will support the rapid integration and sustainment of command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems.

This integration and sustainment will be provided for the US Navy’s Special Communications Mission Systems Division.

BAE Systems Integrated Defense Solutions vice-president and general manager Lisa Hand said: “Those on the front lines need rapid integration of the latest technologies to ensure open, clear, secure, and reliable communications.

“Our C5ISR experts will provide custom solutions for military and commercial-based communications platforms that will enable enhanced capabilities within the US and abroad.”

The company’s production and technical experts provide lifecycle sustainment, front-end production and systems engineering at the customer’s Special Communication Rapid Integration Facility.

The leads will also provide installation services at the facility.

According to the company, the expert team helps in the delivery of integrated components, and systems for small and large craft, as well as commercial and militarised vehicles.

Once complete, the systems are supplied by the company to the US Navy, Special Operations Forces, the Department of Homeland Security, and other US Department of Defense and non-defence organisations.
