Last month, the UK Government announced the participation of the Netherlands in the UK CSG’s maiden operational deployment.

F805 is the fourth air defence and command frigates (LCF) of the class that was commissioned in June 2005.

These advanced LCF frigates were built during the period of 1998 and 2005 by the Dutch maritime industry under Damen Naval leadership.

The Dutch Navy air defence frigate is equipped with weapons and sensors and will protect the CSG from hostile aircraft and missile threats during the deployment. In addition, air missions will be controlled from its operations room.
