Orbit CEO Daniel Eshchar said: “We are proud that the Israeli Navy has chosen the OceanTRx 4 Mil Platform.

“This platform is one of the most advanced naval satellite communication solutions in the world. The platform supports both military and civilian bands on a single military system.”

Orbit Communication Systems focuses on delivering airborne communications and satellite-tracking maritime and ground-station solutions.

The company is listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and has operations globally.

Last year, Orbit secured a contract that involved the delivery of OceanTRx 4 and OceanTRx 7 maritime Satcom terminals to an undisclosed Asian navy.

Notably, the Saar-6-class corvettes are based on the German MEKO 100 patrol corvette. They are designed to offer enhanced attack capabilities compared to the Sa’ar 5 class.
