US-based company Mikros Systems (MKRS) has been awarded a small business innovation research (SBIR) Phase III contract by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) to supply and support of its adaptive diagnostic electronic portable test-set (ADEPT).

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract involves a maximum value of $35.1m over a period of five years.

US NSWC’s Indiana division will procure the MKRS ADEPT systems, in addition to logistics services, data management, engineering and technical services, training, calibration and repair of test sets under the multi-year deal.

MKRS anticipates numerous ADEPT systems deliveries and task orders over the coming year.

Mikros’ ADEPT is an intelligent, automated, programmable electronic test tool used for maintenance, alignment and calibration, as well as error diagnosis of radar and other complex electronic systems.

"The system helps eliminate the use of traditional manuals, paper documentation or discrete test equipment by integrating the required functionality and automating the testing process."
