The Royal New Zealand Navy and Lockheed Martin Canada have opened the New Zealand ANZAC combat system trainer.

The combat system trainer was delivered to the Maritime Warfare Training Centre at the Royal New Zealand Navy base in Devonport last month, and is part of the wider New Zealand ANZAC frigate system upgrade project.

Lockheed Martin Canada completes the first international delivery of its combat management system (CMS) 330 with the trainer's delivery, which was initially manufactured for Canada's Department of National Defence and then modified for the Royal New Zealand Navy.

CMS 330 and Lockheed Martin Canada's combat system integration capability are currently being utilised on a daily basis on the Royal Canadian Navy’s upgraded Halifax-class frigates.
