Insitu has secured a $70.81m contract modification for lot 1 full-rate production of six RQ-21A Blackjack unmanned aircraft systems.

The RQ-21A Blackjacks to be procured under the contract are to be used by the US Navy and the US Marine Corps.

The US Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded a $75.15m contract to BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair to perform docking phased maintenance availability on the USS San Antonio (LPD 17) amphibious transport dock.

"The deal also requires Saab to modernise torpedo systems installed on the Visby-class corvettes and Gotland-class submarines."

BAE Systems will perform maintenance, overhaul and repairs on the USS San Antonio vessel at its facility in Norfolk, Virginia, US, through next April.

Sweden-based aerospace and defence company Saab has secured a contract from the Swedish Defence Material Administration to develop, build and produce torpedo integration systems for two A26 submarines.

The deal also requires Saab to modernise torpedo systems installed on the Visby-class corvettes and Gotland-class submarines.

The US Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division has awarded a contract modification to Raytheon Company for the supply of seven multi-spectral targeting systems in configuration D.

The contractual work is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
