The US Naval Sea Systems Command has awarded a contract modification worth $3.01bn to Huntington Ingalls Industries' Ingalls Shipbuilding business unit.

The contractor will design and build landing helicopter assault (LHA) replacement (LHA(R)) flight 1 amphibious assault ship (LHA 8) Bougainville under the modified deal, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2024.

Boeing has secured a three-year contract to provide field and logistics service support to the Indian Navy’s P-8I maritime patrol aircraft.

The company is set to provide engineering, logistics and material support in order to increase the P-8I aircraft’s operational capability as part of the agreement.

The US Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a $41.84m contract modification to Pratt & Whitney Military Engines in support of the low-rate initial production (LRIP) of F-35 Lightning III Lot X aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney will procure F-135-PW-100 and F-135-PW-600 propulsion systems through September 2019 under the deal.

Rolls-Royce will provide engineering support, engine repairs, logistics services, and technical data to the US Marine Corps KC-130J military aircraft as part of the new commitment.

The US Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support has awarded a six-month contract worth approximately $13.59m to Raytheon Company for the provision of repair services for the P-3 APS-137 radar system.

The arrangement includes a 30-month option, which if exercised will bring the total contract value to $17.8m.

Work under the contract will be performed in McKinney, Texas, up to December 2019.
