Granted by NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), the contract requires Monjasa to carry out fuel deliveries across five Areas of Operations (AOOs).

Monjasa, which announced the appointment through a press release, did not disclose details of the AOOs.

The agreement is already in operation and forms part of a broader framework designed to ensure NATO forces are adequately fuelled across the contract’s designated geographical areas.

The contract is set for an initial period of one year with the option for a two-year extension.

Monjasa Northwest Europe general manager Ulrik Østergaard said: “Meeting the right quality standards is a prerequisite for winning specialised international tenders. This new contract award comes on the back of years of investments in our logistics and in establishing a modus that supports extended documentation requirements and overall transparency.

“Our aim is to deliver consistent high service levels and maritime operations matching the demand from our global partners.”

As per the contract terms, Monjasa will offer fuel services to NATO in a dual capacity, as both a reseller and through its own fleet operations.

The company operates a network of 16 international offices and fleet of 35 tankers and barges.

In 2024, it supplied marine fuel products to 784 ports across the globe.

Earlier in 2025, the UK Royal Navy contracted the NSPA to provide fuel and other port services on a global scale for the next ten years.

As of 1 May 2025, the NSPA procured its fuel supply from three maritime suppliers namely Stonewin, Monjasa, and Glander.
