ManTech has received a $71m contract for a new technology modernisation project, which will include the upgrade of mission systems on-board the US Navy’s manned maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft.

The four-year deal was awarded by the US Air Force Installation Contracting Agency (AFICA) under the DoD Information Analysis Centre’s (DoD IAC) defence systems technical area task (DS TAT) multi-award contract (MAC).

ManTech is expected to perform technology transformation works for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA 290 under the latest task order.

“When it comes to supporting programmes that deliver critical intelligence for our armed forces, America’s military turns to ManTech.”

The firm will replace the legacy systems on-board P-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon aircraft with technology solutions that are intended for use in anti-submarine and anti-surface electronic warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and survivability missions.
