Leidos has secured an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the US Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC).
Awarded by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) – Newport Division, the prime single-award is a cost-plus-fixed-fee / firm-fixed-price contract estimated to be $149.2m.

Leidos will be responsible for delivering engineering, technical and management services for NATSC, as well as perform tasks for the US Navy’s Sensors and SONAR Systems Department.
The company will also support the Navy and Foreign Military Sales’ (FMS) towed array assets.
Other major services include manufacturing, upgrading and troubleshooting towed array systems currently in service and also other systems recently taken out of service.

Work under the contract will be executed primarily in Newport, Rhode Island, US.
The NATSC centre is the ‘depot-level repair service for surface ships and submarine-towed sonar arrays’.
NUWC is a provider of research, development, testing and evaluation, engineering, analysis, assessment as well as fleet support capabilities.
Last November, the US Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) awarded a contract to Leidos to support operational medicine research to enhance warfighter readiness.
