The US Navy has awarded a contract to federal government contractor KMS Solutions for cybersecurity services.

Under the deal, the company will be responsible for supporting US Naval Undersea Warfare Command Code 25 projects.

The range of projects includes assessment and authorisation, research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E), as well as environment maintenance, and in-service engineer agent (ISEA) support.

KMS Solutions vice-president Michael Martino said: “KMS Solutions is pleased to provide Code 25 with these services and will bring a wide range of domain knowledge, mission experience, best practices, and next-generation capabilities to the navy.

KMS Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Subsystem Technologies and has been providing support to the Department of Defense (DoD) for more than 13 years.

Subsystem Technologies chief executive officer Sam Malhotra said: “We are proud to support Code 25 cyber-security programme and look forward to working closely with our government partners to ensure mission success.”

In September last year, KMS secured a task order from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and its Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport under the US Navy’s SeaPort-e programme.
