Delivery of the first aircraft is expected for February 2026.

Jet Aviation president Jeremie Caillet said: “It has been a privilege to work together with the Direction de la Maintenance Aéronautique (DMAé) and Pilatus on the selection and acquisition of the new fleet of PC-24s for the French Navy.

“We are delighted to build on our long-standing relationship with Pilatus to propose an acquisition and sustainment programme that meets the requirements of the French Navy in terms of both the aircraft and ongoing maintenance and preparation of the fleet.”

The PC-24 business jet, certified for single-pilot operation, features a standard cargo door, and has approval for use on unpaved runways.

These features align with a range of government mission requirements, including instrument flight rules (IFR) pilot training, transport, and liaison activities.

The aircraft, equipped with Pilatus Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE), can operate on short or unprepared surfaces.

Pilatus said it will support the fleet through CrystalCare, its warranty and service programme.

Pilatus government aviation vice president Ioannis Papachristofilou said: “We are delighted to see the PC-24 selected for the French Navy’s operational needs, highlighting its unique capabilities as a flexible and reliable platform for government missions.”

The PC-24’s adoption by the French Navy comes as France increases its defence spending.

In July 2025, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a strategy to double military expenditure by 2027 compared to 2017 levels.

The plan includes an increase of €3.5bn ($4bn) in 2026 and a further €3bn in 2027, which will bring the total defence budget to €64bn in 2027.
