Raytheon Company has been awarded a $466.9m contract by the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to test and deliver Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IB interceptors.
The deal will see Raytheon perform testing on up to 44 SM-3 Block IB interceptors at its Space Factory in Tucson, Arizona, along with integration works at its integration facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

The interceptors have been designed to defeat short to intermediate range ballistic missiles.
Lockheed Martin Corporation has secured a contract worth $481.17m from the US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide long-lead-time materials for Saudi Arabia’s Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) ships.
The company will provide long-lead-time materials for the construction of four MMSC ships under the foreign military sales (FMS) programme.
Work under the contract is scheduled to be completed in October 2024.

The scope of the contract includes the manufacture and assembly of the main landing gear and side braces for both aircraft.

The US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), via the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), has awarded a contract to UTC Aerospace Systems for the upgrade of the NP2000 propellers on 24 C/KC-130T aircraft.
UTC Aerospace Systems will also upgrade the propellers of the C-130H aircraft operated by the Air National Guard (ANG) under a separate contract.
The upgraded propellers are intended to increase the operational efficiency and availability of the C-130 aircraft, while also reducing maintenance costs.
