The US Naval Air Warfare Center (NAVAIR), an entity responsible for providing comprehensive air warfare capabilities and lifecycle support for various Navy and Marine Corps aviation assets, will take delivery of the power supply units.
The units will be deployed to power the identification friend or foe (IFF) detection systems on US Navy vessels.
The power control units are designed to perform reliably in extreme conditions, stated CCC.
Viable Power said the units adhere to essential military standards, including MIL-STD-704, which sets the criteria for aircraft power systems and their operational equipment compatibility and efficiency.

The company further added the approach boosts “bilateral defence trade” and “supports Canadian innovation and manufacturing by simplifying the contracting process and ensuring compliance with US procurement standards”.
In January 2025, CCC secured a contract worth $13.3m (C$19m) with the US DoD to supply the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division with QinetiQ’s Vindicator Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) – target and associated services.
