CACI International has received a contract from the US Navy to support the deployment of counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) hardware and capabilities in order to protect national security assets.
The $48.5m deal is valid for one year and covers the provision of integration, installation, sustainment and engineering services to the Naval Air Systems Command Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) AIRWorks Rapid Development Capabilities Integrated Product team.

NAWCAD is responsible for supporting the research and development, engineering, testing and evaluation of all the navy’s air vehicle systems and trainers.
CACI is slated to offer technical, engineering and project management support services under the arrangement, which will include modelling and simulation, as well as hardware, software, and command and control integration.

CACI was also awarded a $122m Crisis Response and Interoperable Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Electronic Systems (CRIC-ES) task order from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) last month.
The deal will involve the development of advanced electronic communications systems for NAWCAD’s Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) division.
