Computer and Mathematical Occupations, with a share of 22% new job postings, was the occupation with the greatest hiring activity in the Asia-Pacific aerospace, defence and security industry in Q3 2023 , ahead of Architecture and Engineering Occupations with a 13% share of new job postings.

The other prominent roles included Management Occupations with an 11% share in Q3 2023, Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 6% share and Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.

Top five companies accounted for 62% of hiring activity

RTX posted 663 jobs in Q3 2023 and registered a decline of 53% over the previous quarter, followed by Boeing with 452 jobs and a 27% growth. Thales, with 439 jobs, and Airbus, with 436 jobs, recorded a 6% drop and an 85% rise, respectively, while Saab recorded a 65% increase with a 244 new job postings during Q3 2023.

India held the leading share of the Asia-Pacific aerospace, defence and security hiring activity with a 42.82% share, a 24% increase over Q2 2023. Australia was next with 24.03%, four-percentage-point down over the previous quarter.
