Notably, artificial intelligence was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of connectivity and directed energy weapons, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the aerospace, defence & security industry, Lockheed Martin had the greatest increase in references for artificial intelligence in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified eight artificial intelligence-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.8% of all sentences - and an increase of 700% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. Axon Enterprise’s mentions of artificial intelligence dropped by 29% to 5 and Northrop Grumman’s by 71% to 2.
